Description

A National Historic Landmark,Old Fort Western, a site dating to 1754, no longer serves a military purpose. Instead, the focus these days at our nation's oldest surviving wooden fort is providing visitors with a glimpse of early American history in this region through historic interpreters in period costumes, traditional furnishings and other associated buildings. A range of educational and cultural programs are offered here throughout the year, consult the events calendar for more information.
