Soft sandy beach and a historic pier are the shoreside seducers at Old Orchard Beach where paddling sports and charter fishing fill long days, though be sure to venture inland long enough to sample succulent local lobster.
Mary’s Loop is one of the more popular trails in the Kokapelli Trail area to the south of Loma. Featuring hard-packed singletrack and double track riding, Mary’s Loop can be combined with other side loops in the area to lengthen the ride.
Mary’s Loop starts with a loose climb with little warm up. Once at the top, it rolls along through rock gardens and views expand toward the Colorado River and into desert canyon country. Mary’s Loop extends to the Utah State border and back and makes for a great first ride in the Grand Junction area.
