Description

Join us on the coast of Maine for a day of coastal Maine Sport fishing or deep sea fishing that you'll never forget! We offer Family fishing charters for the novice to the most experienced angler. Children fishing charters, lobstering demonstrations, seal watching, scenic cruises, and more.

Fishing With Us

Aboard the Trina Lyn we go to find the fish. Captain Todd will use his many years of experience to try find the bigger fish. Aboard the Trina Lyn we do not rely on just one "honey hole” for our catch. Based on over 25 years of LOCAL experience, Captain Todd has several great fishing spots in his arsenal, these spots are fished depending, on tide, wind direction, and recent success. Captain Todd does NOT take his customers in Rivers and Harbors to find fish, like many of the newer generation of Captains in the Old Orchard Beach area. On the Trina Lyn, we fish in the OCEAN!!!!!

Captain Todd knows that his customers have chosen the Trina Lyn based on reputation and results. We spend very little money on advertising as we feel "word of mouth" is our best form of advertisement. Captain Todd wants to continue to see his customers return to the Trina Lyn each and every chance that they can. The only way to achieve this, is to continue the tradition of success. Fishing aboard the Trina Lyn is a HANDS ON experience for both the novice and the most seasoned fisherman. All anglers may participate in every aspect of the adventure, including rigging up, setting and adjusting lines, working baits, setting hooks and bringing aboard the catch. Captain Todd will gladly fillet and pack your "keepers" at no charge. It is not necessary to bring large, empty coolers for your catch as the boat is equipped with a large ice filled chest reserved for the catch.

Most trips will start at the end of the Saco River. This area is known by the locals as "Camp Ellis". Camp Ellis is a year-round commercial fishing port focusing primarily on Maine Lobster and Groundfish. On offshore trips we usually see several types of whales. You may also see porpoise, dolphins, basking sharks and tuna chasing baitfish right out of the water. On our inshore trips we fish between Kennebunkport and Casco Bay, up to six miles off the coast. Sometimes we find ourselves trolling alongside a former President of the United States, or fishing within casting distance of Old Orchard Beach.

Children

While children of all ages have always been and always will be welcome on any of our regular fishing trips, sometimes a standard trip is too long for children. Therefore, we recently started offering a an "hourly trip" for children based on a "play it by ear” concept, to determine how long we are on the water. These shorter trips will be offered on an hourly basis of 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours. We place no age requirements, but past experience has proven that boredom usually overtakes children under 7 years. However, there must be at least one adult over the age of 18 to be responsible for the children. We will allow a maximum of 5 people aboard on these trips, however usually there will be no more then 4 fishing at one time. This is only due to deck space and safety. These trips are almost always available, with very short notice. Long advanced reservations are discouraged.

Hourly Trips usually start around 10:00AM or 2:00PM, therefore getting up at 5:00AM is not required.
